WHAM!

WHAM is a 501(c)(4) nonprofit organization operating in Northeast Ohio. Our goal is to build an efficient, action-oriented political organization that amplifies the voice of grassroots allies while delivering real results. To achieve this, we employ a unique hybrid structure with two distinct but complementary components:

1. The Grassroots Leadership Team – A Coalition with Teeth

For too long, the grassroots organizations of our communities have been scattered and disorganized. Several efforts have been made to form local coalitions in the past few years, but most attempts have been little more than photo-ops or social gatherings. Each coalition so far has lacked the teeth needed to accomplish actual substantive effort. That’s why we are trying something new: an official Grassroots Leadership Team. This team will consist of representatives from each allied member organization within our coalition, and has the authority to set the direction of WHAM’s focus and initiatives. This team will be self governing and independent from the operational half of the organization.

2. The Core Organization – A Lean Political Machine

Once direction is set by the Grassroots Leadership Team, WHAM’s core membership executes the plans with precision and efficiency. Full members—individuals demonstrating sustained, active involvement in community organizing and conservative political efforts—elect the executive team annually. Membership is earned through consistent contribution to community improvement, ensuring that those who lead execution are deeply committed and experienced. Thus, while it only requires being an ally to help chart the course of WHAM, only those who are truly involved may lead the carrying of it out.
